At the beginning of the year I joined a weight loss challenge. It was a total of 12 weeks and I have two more weeks left. Last night was my weekly weigh-in and I was down another 1 1/2 lbs. YEAH! That makes a total of 25 lbs. My goal is to be at 30lbs lost by the end of the challenge.
I have really enjoyed the expeirience and learned so much from the class; as far as what calorie intake I need to be at for success and what ratio of protien and carbs, plus fiber I need to be healthy. I will be doing another 12week challenge along with an exercise program in two weeks. I will document my successes and the information I gain from the class as well as exactly everything that I do to reach those goals. I began on Jan. 2, 2008 with needing to lose 100lbs. My goal at the end of the 2nd 12 week challenge is to be at 60lbs lost. I also start walking 5k's at the beginning odf April. And I will compete in 1-2 5k walk races each month through out the whole summer. I do this not to win but because I am motivated by competion so that pushes me to exercise regularly. Exercise also helps reduce stress as well as strengthen the heart. when you build muscle the muscle will burn the fat. Drinking lots of water, (starting with doubleing your current intake if it's under 2qts a day) will aid hugely in weight loss because it is the elimination process to get it out of the body. Look for more helpful information each thursday as I post my results. I will have my first celebration on wednsday, March 26,2008!! hoping for the big 30!
