Foto Friday

TGIF! I decided to share a few pics of my week...
Of course every one knows I have had the joy of the chicken pox in my house. Big Mister has had the worst case of it, but was great all in all.

Big Mister loves sitting on my counters and this time found a treat, COOKIES!

It's never quiet in my house, and Little Mister is the loudest.

Little Mister also has figured out how to climb anything. He is on the table every chance he can get. ...

But, He's a happy boy....

and He's a tired boy!

My Man at 30! I love that face, and he has a big heart, so glad he's mine. Happy Birthday Honey!

I heard that if you put those pinwheel toys in your garden and around your strawberry plants that it will scare the birds and squirrels away, but, WHAT ABOUT THE LITTLE BOYS?
(I loved this)

And It's Me!

Have a great friday, God Bless!

Victories!!!

I went to my weigh-in and weight loss class a day early this week since it is my hubby's 30th birthday tommorrow and I want to spend my evening with him. He is so special and my constant when I am not sure of anything in life. If it were'nt for him I never would have started my weight loss and because he is so supportive and wonderful I have had awesome successes. I am officially at 40lbs lost and am soooo excited, I cannot even tell you how excited. I have been doing a special fiber program the past 12 days as well and have lost a total of 12 inches in the waist, belly and low belly alone in the last 12 days alone. So my loss in pounds this week is 2.5 lbs bring me to a total of 40.9 lbs lost after 20 weeks!! WOOHOO!! I feel like I can conquer the world when I am taught one thing and I do it and it works! Amazing what knowledge can do when you apply the principles.
So I will repeat myself, FIBER! FIBER! FIBER!

Health!

As all regular readers know by now, I am on a quest to get healthy and trim. I have a sister over here that is major into health and nutrition, and she is working towards her naturepath degree. For years she has told me cut your gluten's, sugars, bad fats, ans MSG products. Did I listen? no of course not!
Well I was so tired of being fat and tired that I joined the weight loss challenge and started taking baby steps towards nutrition. It has been 5 months and I have cut down on the things I eat with preservatives so much that I had not realized the effect it might have on me if I chose to consume preservatives again such as MSG.
I used cream of mushroom soup in a dish I made for dinner on monday night. Oh my word! I was so miserable, I bloated, my head was pounding, and I felt like my ears were going to explode from the pressure, all this within 1 hour of eating my dinner. I had not realized that I had cut down on preservatives to such a degree that I would have an allergic reaction from one meal.
I called my sister and said I need a recipe for cream of mushroom soup so I can make a large quanity and freeze individual bags for my meals. She never fails me, if you click on over here, she has a recipe for homemade cream of mushroom soup.
I encourage you too go to google and see all there is on MSG.

Succotash Tuesday!

Okay, so after the madness of Monday I throw everything in the mix and make sense of it (kinda) and try to have a productive week. I am in the mix mode still but the making sense of it all mode is coming shortly, thus bringing around 'SUCCOTASH TUESDAY'.
I know you are thinking why succotash? well, why not? Just kidding, I have always loved the mixture of vegi's that makes up succotash, the flavors and the colors, not the same old boring single color and single flavor. It says fun, complicated, sassy, and mess with a smile at the end. Do I make sense at all? If not that's all right, I am WOMAN afterall!

So what's in my mix for today to create a productive week?

*write and send out bills
*plant squash in the garden
*Plant tomatoes and peppers
*clean the house
*do the laundry
*re-coop from fabulous dinner guests
*get my children back on a schedule
*plan DW's 30th birthday surprise

*paint the side of the garage and the gate
*plan another scrapping session
*stay on track with my weightloss program
*EXERCISE...WALK TODAY AND EVERDAY!!!

Okay so this is actually my to-do list for what I would like done today, but logicaly speaking I am one 1 WOMAN, and so I am going to prioritize and allow myself some room to be flexible and not uptight about getting it all done, afterall, in succotash the carrots don't stay on the left, and the lima's on the right, corn on th bottom, no that is so rediculous to even think about, throw it together and surprise yourself, make a long list and check it off and praise the things you got done and the things you learned and enjoyed.

I also wanted to throw out another note that I have been married 4 wonderful years and have not been able to fit in my wedding dress since about a month after the wedding and at 11pm sunday night I drug that bad boy out and it zips, with me in it! One goal down many to go but praise in the victories.

My boys are doing fabulous, Little Mister has virtually no evidence of the chicken pox, Big Mister has many evidences, he is now crunchy. All his many spots are crispy and crunchy. He is not cranky any more so it's all good from here.

I have met my sister's boyfriend on several occasions now but got to know him much better last night. He had a couple dvd's that we could watch (home video's) and learn his family members and what his church is like and the culture he comes from. He is a native from Brasil. He has a degree in teaching and has a very kind heart. His family is a loving and tight knit family, which is character building for me to see. It's one thing to play games and have dinner with him but that still wasn't giving me anymore information as to where he is coming from and what he stands for in several important area's. The home video's were very interesting and we got to know him better through them.

Enjoy your succotash,
christina

Monday madness!

I haven't done Monday Madness in a while and I like the ring it has to it so I am going to try to keep it up each week. I know I am not the only Woman, sister, wife, mother, and friend that has moments, days, and weeks that you feel like you are just going plain crazy! CRAZY!! Well, I am here to tell all of you ladies it's okay to go crazy, all in good humor. This is the rhyme to my madness, thus creating MONDAY MADNESS!
Why did I choose monday? well because it rhymes with madness and I chose madness because it can be serious and it can be fun. Today is for fun. I have done the tidying, the laundry, cleaned up puke and poop, fix the bottles, given the naps, watered the flowers, and prepped dinner for guests tonight. Now, seriously do you ever think the male species could multi task like this? NO! But we love them anyway's. I look forward to 5:30pm when the love of my life comes home and the boys go running for him and I get first dib's on the kisses because I am the wife, the mother, and the WOMAN! I am so enjoying writing because "I am woman" and I love my jobs. reading back to numerous posts in the past I admit I was not so confident in my victorious attitude, but today is monday madness!

Needless to say I am looking forward to my dinner tonight, and I have walked my garden today and am liking how well it is doing and the the grass is green and the sun is shining, and who cares about the puke and the poop? If you would like to join me in my Monday madness leave a comment and let me know what makes your monday madness, and is it serious or fun for you today!
God Bless, Christina
